Pink Beach in Komodo Island Crowned the Most Beautiful Beach in the World

Pink Beach in Komodo Island Crowned the Most Beautiful Beach in the World

International . News . Travel Article

Fundacion Rapala – In 2025, Indonesia’s Pink Beach in Komodo National Park, East Nusa Tenggara, was crowned the most beautiful beach in the world. The recognition came from a global survey by the UK-based travel company Explore Worldwide, reported by Forbes.

The Magic of Pink Sand

Pink Beach is unlike any other coastline. Its sand glows with a rosy hue, created by a mix of crushed red corals and tiny organisms called Foraminifera. When the waves roll in, the pink shade deepens, creating a surreal and enchanting scene.

The sand itself feels silky smooth, making it perfect for barefoot walks or lazy afternoons by the shore. Visitors often describe it as nature’s finest carpet—soft, warm, and endlessly inviting.

A Paradise Underwater

Between Sumbawa and Flores, Pink Beach offers more than its striking sand. Its waters are crystal clear, home to vibrant coral gardens and countless reef fish. Starfish scatter across the seabed, adding splashes of color to the ocean floor.

Snorkelers and divers find this spot irresistible. Just a short swim from the shore reveals an underwater world bursting with life, making it one of Indonesia’s most treasured marine destinations.

Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Pink Beach is May to October. During these dry months, the skies stay clear, the sea turns calm, and visibility for snorkeling reaches its peak. Rain is rare, allowing travelers to fully enjoy both the beach and the underwater scenery.

Ranking Among the World’s Finest

Explore Worldwide’s panel of expert guides placed Pink Beach at the top of the global list for 2025. In second place was Le Morne in Mauritius, followed by Boulders Beach in South Africa, famous for its penguin colony.
